Arts, Community, Start-up

Founded by entrepreneur Dom Santry, and Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams, Daisie brings creators together and supports them to do the best work of their lives. Having made great progress and raised significant funding with only a light touch identity, Dom and Maisie felt it was time to properly define their brand and get their marketing in shape for a global launch.

From the outset, we knew that Maisie's reach and influence meant that we'd have no problem with building awareness. The strategic challenge was ensuring the brand and product really resonated with Gen Z creators looking to take up space in their chosen field.

Oddkid initially partnered with Studio Koto on the brand strategy – defining Daisie's purpose and personality. Before moving in-house to work directly with the team on their marketing strategy, launch plan, key content, partnerships, events and campaigns.

Daisie launched publicly in May 2019, and hit 100,000 users in the first 24 hrs. The quality of work and level of ambition on the platform is palpable – the start of a bright future for Daisie and its users.

Project highlights

1.

Working alongside a young, Gen Z team to meet the needs of a creative and global Gen Z audience. Their positivity, enthusiasm and empathy was both refreshing and exhilarating. An exciting cohort to watch taking the stage.

2.

Planning and launching Daisie’s Wonder Women campaign – a programme dedicated to female creators. Following a creative competition held on the Daisie platform to support a range of creative projects become real, we then hosted a day-long Wonder Women event in collaboration with Refinery29. More here.

3.

Guiding and mentoring a marketing team of four. As interim Head of Marketing, I implemented processes and structures to ensure the delivery of high-quality marketing initiatives. I also set up a small mentoring program to introduce the team to established practitioners across London, and offer them access into adjacent fields such as a retail, technology and film production.
